
Czech and Finish Prime Ministers met in Helsinki

Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Andrej Babiš met the Prime Minister of Finland Juha Sipilä and Minister of Foreign Affairs Timo Soini in Helsinki on Monday 21st May 2018.
The Prime Ministers discussed topical EU matters, such as migration, the forthcoming multiannual financial framework and brexit. Another topic was education and cooperation in countering the hybrid threats.
During the visit, Czech Ambassador to Finland Ivan Jukl signed a Memorandum of Accession of the Czech Republic to the European Center of Excellence for Countering Hybrid Threats.
The Prime Minister also participated in the Business Forum with representatives of Czech and Finnish companies and institutions. This roundtable was aimed at strengthening economic cooperation and identifying new opportunities for cooperation in the fields of transport, energy, health and circular economy. Part of the Prime Minister program in Helsinki was the meeting with Finnish experts on education and research at Aalto University. Before the departure the Prime Minister visited the Aurinkokivi elementary school in Vantaa.
