Superlegalization (higher verification)

Qatari documents are recognized in the Czech Republic on condition that these are attested by a higher verification, so called Superlegalization. Superlegalization is the official confirmation that a stamp, seal and a signature (of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar) on the ORIGINAL of a document are genuine.

If you need your document issued by QTR authorities (diplomas, police clearance, birth certificate….) to be recognized in the Czech Republic, you must provide the original (not certified copy!) of this document by legalization stamp and signature at the legalization department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar. After that, send please copy of this document by e-mail: doha.consulate@mzv.gov.cz with request for the appointment for superlegalization. Once we give you appointment, you can bring the original document that will be provided by superlegalization stamp from our Embassy.  If you need this document to be kept with you, we can make certified copies from that document for you and you can use these certified copies for Czech authorities.

Czech Embassy in Doha is not allowed to provide documents issued by Czech authorities with superlegalization stamp – only original documents issued by Qatari authorities on condition that these contain the legalization stamp and signature of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar. If you need Czech documents to be stamped by superlegalization, you must contact legalization department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic (Hradčanské nám. 5, Praha 1, tel. 224182188 / 224182153, e-mail: legalizace@mzv.gov.cz).
