On April 7, 2026, Ambassador Vítězslav Pivoňka presented copies of his credentials to the Minister of Foreign Affairs Asaad al-Shaibani.

With this act, he was officially inaugurated as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to the Syrian Arab Republic.

The presentation of the credentials represents a significant diplomatic step in the framework of bilateral relations between the Czech Republic and the Syrian Arab Republic and confirms the continued interest in developing mutual cooperation.
