During the meeting, Ms. Rochdi Najat shared her experiences from her recent visit to Syria. She also briefed on the current activities of the UN Special Envoy for Syria and outlined upcoming priorities in relation to Syria, focusing on efforts to promote peace and stability in the region.
The representative of the Embassy of the Czech Republic thanked for the work carried out by the Office of the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Syria and confirmed that the Czech Republic, like other EU countries, identifies with the UN Security Council Resolution 2254 of 2015. He added that the Czechia remains committed to contributing to international efforts aimed at achieving sustainable and lasting peace in the region, as evidenced by the fact that the Czech Republic actively supports and is represented in the UNDOF mission in the Golan Heights.
The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Damascus continues to actively participate in diplomatic negotiations and discussions that promote peace, stability and cooperation in Syria and the wider Middle East.
