
Czech Aid Exhibition in Prague

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic has recently inaugurated an exhibition in the "Smichov naplavka" (left Vltava river bank) near "Palackeho most" (Palacky bridge) in Prague which will be open to the public from September 1 to September 30, 2024, highlighting the country’s significant contributions to humanitarian aid in the Middle East.
The exhibition focuses on the Czech Republic’s efforts through its Reconstruction Programme for the Middle East, a government-funded initiative aimed at supporting reconstruction and humanitarian relief in war-torn regions, including Syria.
The exhibition offers a detailed account of the Czech Republic’s humanitarian projects and achievements across various Middle Eastern countries, emphasizing the nation's steadfast commitment to helping rebuild communities affected by conflict. Visitors will find informative displays and multimedia presentations illustrating how Czech aid has provided essential resources such as medical supplies, WASH equipment, infrastructure reconstruction, education, and community support.
Particularly notable are the sections dedicated to Syria, where Czech humanitarian aid has played a pivotal role in addressing the needs of civilians impacted by the long-standing conflict. The Czech government, through it's embassy in Syria has supported projects focusing on health, education, and the rebuilding of local infrastructure in affected regions.
Mr. Roman Masarik, Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Damascus, visited the exhibition and praised the Czech Republic's commitment to humanitarian assistance in Syria and other Middle Eastern countries, Mr. Masarik also highlighted the effective role of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Damascus, noting the embassy’s ongoing efforts to support the delivery of aid and facilitate cooperation with local organizations.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs encourages the public and international representatives to visit the exhibition and learn more about the ongoing efforts and the impact of Czech humanitarian aid in promoting stability and recovery in the Middle East.
