
The Opening of the Czech V4 Presidency

On the occasion of the opening of the Czech Presidency of the Visegrad Group the Ambassador held a reception on 26 June in the renovated garden of the embassy residence for the invited Danish guests and Czechs living in Denmark.
In the opening speech the Ambassador presented the programme priorities of the Czech Presidency of the Visegrad Group, emphasized the focus on the countries of the Eastern Partnership, energy, defence cooperation, and also joint infrastructure projects, which are in addition to the current macroeconomic factors the reason for the growing volume of Danish investments in the Visegrad countries.
Jazz music at the reception was performed by a trio led by the Czech saxophonist Luboš Soukup, together with bassist Graig Earle and pianist William Larsson, and among the guests was an eminent Czech singer and composer, Mr Ondřej Hejma.
The event took place thanks to the sponsorship of Marius Pedersen A/S, which belongs among the leading Danish investors in the Czech Republic.
