The 36th session of the UNESCO General Conference, which took place in Paris in November 2011, included in the remarkable cultural anniversaries of UNESCO for the period 2012-2013 the 100th anniversary of the birth of Czech designer, illustrator, sculptor and director of animated movies, Jiří Trnka (24. 2. 1912 – 30. 12. 1969).
