Tomáš Boček re-appointed as Vice-Governor for Target Group Countries of the Council of Europe Development Bank

At its 228th meeting held on 16 April 2021, the Governing Board of the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) re-appointed Ambassador Tomáš Boček to the post of Vice-Governor for Target Group Countries for a mandate from 16 August 2021 to 15 August 2026. 
 

The Vice-Governor for Target Group Countries inter alia ensures the implementation of the CEB’s Development Plan, particularly in relation to the group of target countries; oversees the development of operations in CEB members; and monitors the Bank’s partnership agreements with other multilateral institutions.

Tomáš Boček, a Czech candidate, first joined the CEB’s appointed officials in March 2019, having previously served as Special Representative of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe on Migration and Refugees. From 2010 until the end of January 2016 he was Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the Council of Europe, in which capacity he also represented the Czech Republic to the Governing Board of the CEB. During the period 2013-2015, he was Vice-Chair of the CEB’s Governing Board.
