
Czechia makes this year’s voluntary contribution to the Council of Europe

The Government of Czechia has made a voluntary contribution of CZK 1 500 000 (approximately €63 686) towards several Council of Europe Action Plans and projects. This contribution will support the Council of Europe Action Plan for Ukraine 2023-2026, the Council of Europe Action Plan for Georgia 2020-2023, the Council of Europe Action Plan on Protecting Vulnerable Persons in the Context of Migration and Asylum in Europe 2021-2025, the activities of the Venice Commission, as well as cooperation with representatives of Belarusian democratic forces and civil society.
The agreement was signed on 2 June 2023 by Ambassador Petr Válek, Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the Council of Europe, and Mr Bjørn Berge, Deputy Secretary General.
