Classical music concert by Jaroslav Svěcený and Lucie Tóth on the occasion of the Czech EU Presidency

On the occasion of the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union and Czech Statehood Day, the Permanent Mission of the Czech Republic to the Council of Europe organized a concert by the prominent Czech violinist Jaroslav Svěcený accompanied by Lucie Tóth on piano. The concert took place on 28 September 2022 at the Pavillon Joséphine in Strasbourg with the support of the Pilsen Region and participation of its President Rudolf Špoták.

The concert was opened by Ambassador Petr Válek, who thanked the President of the Pilsen Region for his excellent cooperation and all the support for the event.

Afterwards, the tones of the violin resounded through Pavillon Joséphine. Jaroslav Svěcený presented the audience with a recital "Famous European Violins", during which compositions by Bedřich Smetana, Antonín Dvořák and Nicola Paganini were played. The whole concert was in the spirit of the history of master violins. The audience was presented with a unique collection of violins from the 17th century onwards, and the most known exhibit was certainly the Italian violin by Antonio Stradivari.
