Celebration of the Czech Statehood Day

The Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the Council of Europe hosted a reception to celebrate the Czech Statehood Day.
The reception was opened by the Ambassador, Kristýna Najmanová, who emphasized the importance of this holiday and its historical significance, connected with the personality of Saint Wenceslas, a symbol of the Czech statehood.
Guests could enjoy a beautiful concert while exploring the sounds of Czech contemporary classical music, namely the piece „Clarinettino“ composed by Ondřej Kukal and performed by young French musicians. Lastly, the reception was attended by diplomats of the member staes of the Council of Europe, representatives of the Secretariat, as well as members of the Czech community. They all had the opportunity to enjoy traditional Czech meals.
