The only second trade mission to the Czech Republic organized by the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Chicago has taken place this October. The date was picked so that it was possible to attend the International Engineering Fair in Brno - the absolute highlight of all the engineering events in Central Europe.

Besides visiting the fair with more than 1300 exhibitors, this mission allowed the US representatives to take facility tours in the Czech leading engineering companies such as TGS, TOSHULIN and TOS VARNSDORF. Furthermore, they also had a unique opportunity to meet researchers at Central European Institute of Technology, Faculty of Transportation Sciences CTU in Prague and Faculty of Information Technology BUT. Additionally to that, US partners also gained deeper insights into the Czech engineering industry landscape thanks to a presentation delivered by the Association of Engineering Technology. To sum up, the four days spent in the Czech Republic were both very informative and busy. Within such a limited time frame the US representatives managed to meet various partners across the country and visit five different Czech cities.

This engineering mission was financed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic and it is a result of the common effort to enhance mutual Czech-US relations on both research and business level.
