Czech participation at SAE World Congres & Exhibition, April 21 – 23, 2015 – We plan to return in 2016!

The annual SAE World Congress & Exhibition assembles the best talent in the automotive industry; experts, management teams, engineers, and executives alike gather to collaborate and address current challenges, seek new windows for discovery and exploration, and promote the multitude of opportunities fundamental for a successful future. The Czech Republic hosts one of the highest concentrations of automotive-related manufacturing and design activity in the world. With passenger car production at 107.5 vehicles per 1,000 persons, the Czech Republic has maintained its supreme position among world automotive leaders in terms of per-capita output. It is also among the fifteen largest global passenger car producers by volume. ZKL Bearings produces rolling bearings, engages in R&D, manufacturing and distribution of products for transportation, power engineering, automotive industry, metallurgy, heavy engineering, mining, raw material processing, agriculture, etc.

SBU Auto & Aero is a separate division of C.Z. that specializes particularly in production of machined parts used in air-conditioning systems of vehicles. A significant part of deliveries comprises components of aluminium alloys.

A networking event/glass of wine with an opening presentation about Czech automotive industry by Mr. Bořek Lizec, Consul General of the Czech Republic took place at the Congress on Wednesday, April 22. The participants had an opportunity to consult Angela Fortino, Detroit Regional Chamber, Thomas Morel, President, Gamma Technologies, Jan Friend, Director of East Coast operation of CzechInvest, Jan Kubata, Director of CzechTrade Chicago and Richard Schneider, automotive sector Specialist of CzechInvest.
