SUMMER SCHOOLS OF SLAVONIC STUDIES 2026

Students from Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin may apply for one of four scholarships to participate in a four‑week Czech language course in Prague, Brno, or Poděbrady.
 

We are pleased to announce that this year four applicants will receive full scholarships!

The courses are designed for foreign students, specialists (teachers, translators, interpreters), and academics in the field of Czech and Slavonic studies who are over 18 years of age. They are, however, open to anyone interested in the Czech language, literature, history, and culture. If you wish to participate on a self-funded basis, please contact the selected university directly (e.g., Charles University, Masaryk University, Palacky University, or others).

This year, the application can be submitted online by emailing to chicago@mzv.gov.cz by March 15, 2026. Please attach your current CV, a copy of your passport, and a recommendation letter.
