We would like to remind applicants from the American Midwest region, within the jurisdiction of the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Chicago, that applications for financial support for projects carried out under the Program for the Support of Czechs and the Czech Language Abroad for 2027 may be submitted until August 1, 2026.
Applications for grants for projects to be implemented or initiated in 2027 must be submitted to the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Chicago no later than August 1, 2026. Applications must be submitted both electronically and in hard-copy form.
We recommend printing the completed application before submitting it electronically. Once the electronic submission has been completed, the printed original application must be signed by the applicant and stamped, if a stamp is available. The signed original application must then be delivered to the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Chicago either by mail or in person. The decisive date for acceptance of an application is the date of the postmark or the date it is received and recorded by the consular office.
If a newly registered organization is applying for a monetary grant, it must attach a copy of its registration in the United States and a copy of its current bylaws/statutes to the application.
You can find detailed information about the entire application process on the website of the Czech Foreign Ministry or the Czech Consulate General in Chicago.
