The ŠKODA Czech and Slovak Film Festival of Australia (CaSFFA) is back in 2025, showcasing the best of Czech and Slovak cinema across Melbourne, Adelaide, and Brisbane. Experience a unique celebration of film and culture from late September through November.
Now in its 13th year, CaSFFA returns to Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane – bringing audiences an unforgettable celebration of film and culture.
The festival opens with Zuzana Kirchnerová’s CARAVAN, the first majority Czech feature to compete at Cannes Film Festival in over 30 years. This poetic and unconventional road movie explores the quiet sacrifices of motherhood, starring the acclaimed Aňa Geislerová alongside David Vostrčil.
MELBOURNE
24 September – 8 October 2025 - In collaboration with The Melbourne Cinémathèque, ACMI will host a retrospective dedicated to the legendary František Vláčil.
9 – 19 October 2025 – Main festival will take place at Classic and Lido Cinemas.
ADELAIDE
30 October – 8 November 2025 at the Regal Theatre.
BRISBANE
14 – 16 November 2025 at the New Farm Cinemas.
