The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Australia advises that, from 30 June 2018, inorganic powders or powder-like substances, with a total volume greater than 350 ml per person, will be prohibited from carriage in the cabin of an aircraft on all outbound flights departing Australia.
The restrictions will not affect the carriage of items including baby formula, medicinal products, food or human remains (ashes). The restriction will be enforced at central departure and transit screening points.
