Czechia will be categorized as one of recognized countries by Austroads from late 2026. This means the Czech driver licence holders residing in Australia will be allowed to apply for Australian driver licence without further testing. This is a result of talks between relevant Czech and Australian authorities and was officially announced on Austroads´website HERE. The change will be implemented in individual states around the end of the year 2026.
