Celebration of the Anniversary of 28th October at the Czech Embassy in Canberra

The official reception to celebrate the Day of the Establishment of an Independent Czechoslovak State was held at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Canberra on Friday 27 October. 

Ms. Lyndall Sachs, the Chief of Protocol of the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, personally extended her congratulations on the foundation of our independent state. The reception was also attended by a prominent Australian politician, the Hon Bronwyn Bishop, representatives of foreign diplomatic missions as well as compatriots. Ambassador Martin Pohl emphasized in his speech the successful signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the governments of the Czech Republic and Australia on the pilot program of Working Holiday for the youth.
