Concert by Trio Bohémo at the Austrian Residence and ASHOM Gathering at the Czech Embassy

On 25 September 2024, a concert by the chamber ensemble Trio Bohémo was held at the residence of the Austrian Ambassador in Canberra, organised by the Ambassadors of Austria and the Czech Republic. The following day, Trio Bohémo performed again, this time at the Embassy of the Czech Republic during a gathering of the Association of Spouses of Heads of Mission (ASHOM), where they accompanied a presentation by the Director General of the National Library of the Czech Republic, Tomáš Foltýn.
On 25 September 2024, an exceptional concert by the chamber ensemble Trio Bohémo took place at the residence of the Austrian Ambassador in Canberra. The event was jointly organised by Austrian Ambassador Elisabeth Koegler and Czech Ambassador Jana Tyrer. Trio Bohémo captivated all guests with their mesmerising performances of works by Joseph Haydn and Antonín Dvořák, receiving high praise for their precise and sensitive interpretation.
The following day, on 26 September 2024, Trio Bohémo performed once again, this time at the Embassy of the Czech Republic during a gathering of the Association of Spouses of Heads of Mission (ASHOM). The event was organised by Timothy Tyrer, husband of Ambassador Jana Tyrer. The programme was further enriched by a presentation from the Director General of the National Library of the Czech Republic, Mr Tomáš Foltýn, who introduced the library’s digitisation projects, featuring unique collections related to St. Wenceslas and extensive music archives.
On this occasion, Trio Bohémo performed works by Czech masters Antonín Dvořák and Bohuslav Martinů, adding a profound emotional depth to the evening’s atmosphere. The event was accompanied by Czech beverages and homemade desserts personally prepared by Ambassador Tyrer. These two days beautifully intertwined art and diplomacy, creating an unforgettable experience for all attendees.
