Ambassador Tyrer on official visit to Western Australia

Ambassador Jana Tyrer visited Western Australia from 4-6 June 2024 as part of an official visit organised by the Department of the Premier and Cabinet of Western Australia. During her official visit, she met with representatives of the local government, the chamber of commerce, the academic community, and the Czech community in Perth, with whom she shared their interesting life stories.

The well-prepared and packed agenda included, among other things, meetings with

- Representatives of the Parliament and the Western Australian Government

- Lord Mayor of Perth

- Management of the University of Western Australia

- Representatives of the local chamber of commerce

- Representatives from the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation

- the Chief Justice

.. And many more! A great experience was meeting compatriots who live in and around Perth and who shared their very interesting life stories and suggestions with the Ambassador over a beer from the Last Drop Brewery, where a Czech brewer works.

Western Australia is an extremely interesting and rapidly developing region and we look forward to further cooperation not only in business but also in cultural, scientific and academic terms!

P.S.: Did you know that Dvořák's Rusalka will be performed in Perth next month, the first-ever production to be entirely in the Czech language?
