The Ambassador took this opportunity to get to know the expat community living in Canberra and its immediate surroundings. In her speech she mentioned, among other things, her plan for more regular meetings within the Czech community at the Embassy and the joint organisation of compatriot events with the local compatriot association Beseda. About 50 guests attended the event, for whom the Embassy prepared a surprise in the form of homemade Moravian cakes as a small symbol of the Ambassador's Prerov origin.
