National Day reception on the occasion of the Independent Czechoslovak State Day

On Wednesday, 28 October, an official reception commemorating the National Day of the Czech Republic took place. The reception was held at the Hyatt Hotel in Canberra and was attended by a few dozen select guests in order to abide by current public health directions and restrictions.
After an introductory speech by Ambassador Tomáš Dub, guests were treated to renditions of the Czech and Australian national anthems played by renowned Czech violinist, Pavel Šporcl, followed by a video-greeting from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Tomáš Petříček.
There were also prepared present bags with traditional Little Czech Mole for guests to take home.
