The incoming mission to the Czech Republic in the field of brewing

The incoming mission in the field of brewing took place in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic and the Czech Embassies in Ottawa and Canberra from 11th till 16th May 2025.

A twenty-member group of brewers and owners of microbreweries from Australia, Canada, and the USA became acquainted with hop production in the Žatec region (visiting companies such as TOP HOP, Bohemian Hop, and Arix). Furthermore, the foreign delegation learned about malt production at the Ferdinand Brewery and Czech technologies for microbreweries at Bucher Denvel. Partners were introduced to beer bottling technologies from RAVECO and CHEOPS in the Rebel Brewery in Havlíčkův Brod. The guests saw the technologies from Pacovské strojírny and Nerez Cidlina in the operations of other breweries, totaling seven. These included the largest Pilsner Brewery, Budějovický Budvar, and Bernard Humpolec Brewery, as well as smaller breweries at the Czech Agricultural University (school microbrewery Jeník), the U Fleků Brewery, and in Žatec. They learned about the traditional culture of pouring beer (hladinka, šnyt, mlíko) in the establishments Lokál and Puilt in Prague. However, the pinnacle of the beer serving demonstration was the visit to the LUKR company in Pilsen.
