Employment offer - full-time position: Economic Expert Assistant in Commercial and Economic Section, Czech Embassy Canberra

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Canberra is seeking a new team member for the full-time position of Economic Expert Assistant in Commercial and Economic Section (38 hours a week).
The role:
· Written and verbal communication, both in-person and via telephone, with Czech, Australian and New Zealand stakeholders. Leading official correspondence with economic departments, associations, chambers of commerce and companies.
· Organisation of projects of economic diplomacy (business missions, participation at trade fairs, presentation of companies, marketing activities).
· Searching for useful contacts and information to support Czech export and investment intentions incl. cooperation in the field of research and development.
· Providing of sectorial reports, economic articles, and news articles to publish.
· Providing of macroeconomic reports.
· Processing multimedia (e.g. photographs and filming videos and their postproduction and presentation on the Embassy’s website and social networks).
· Supportive tasks and administration related to the operation of the Commercial and Economic Section.
Requirements:
· Excellent communicative abilities including:
-> Outstanding knowledge of English - both spoken and written (ideally at the level of a native speaker).
-> Knowledge of the Czech language both written and spoken will be an advantage.
· Interest in the Czech Republic and Australia.
· Education with a focus on Economics is an advantage.
· Knowledge of the Australian economy and business.
· Active approach to completing tasks and flexibility – including the ability to occasionally work outside normal working hours (with compensation).
· Excellent knowledge of work with computers and experience creating multimedia content for social networks (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
· Clean criminal record in both Australia and the Czech Republic and to be ready for another security screening
· The applicant must meet the immigration requirements for long-term stay and full-time work in Australia – i.e. long-term visa (not a student or Work and Holiday visa), permanent residency, or Australian citizenship.
