Presentation of an award for diplomatic service to Mr. László Vajányi at the Embassy in Budapest.

At a reception held on September 25, 2025 on the occasion of the Czech Republic's national holidays, Ambassador Eva Dvořáková presented László Vajányi with a medal for diplomatic service, which was awarded to him by Minister of Foreign Affairs Jan Lipavský.

Mr. Vajányi, CEO of Ravak Hungary, received this award for his many years of successful work at the helm of the Czech-Hungarian Business Club, which brings together some thirty companies and businesses operating in Hungary, primarily those representing Czech companies, and for his long-term and active personal contribution to building trade and business relations between the Czech Republic and Hungary. The award also recognized his helpful cooperation with the Embassy in Budapest, the Czech Center in Budapest, and the CzechTrade office in Budapest in supporting the building of economic relations and the presentation of Czech culture in Hungary, including sponsorship of these activities, and his efforts in organizing business entities operating in Hungary that are connected with the Czech Republic.

The laudatio, written by the former Czech ambassador to Hungary, Mr. Tibor Bial, was delivered by Ms. Dóra Egréssy from the CzechTrade office. The award ceremony was particularly appreciated by the representatives of the Czech-Hungarian business community, Mr. Vajányi's colleagues, and representatives of the diplomatic corps present at the reception. The festive occasion was further enhanced by the presence of the reception's guest of honor, Mr. Mihaly Balla, a long-standing member of the Hungarian National Assembly, Chairman of the National Group in the Inter-Parliamentary Union, Vice-Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Affairs, and Chairman of the Parliamentary Hungarian-Czech Friendship Group.
