The Czech Republic will provide 24 million CZK for the Libyan Navy Coast Guard

The Czech Government decided (at its meeting on July 24, 2017) to provide 24 million CZK (approximately 925,000 EUR) to increase the effectiveness of the Libyan Navy Coast Guard in order to regulate the numbers of migrants sailing to Europe. "By increasing the contribution to the Libyan Navy Coast Guard, we contribute to solving the migration in the Mediterranean and we are mainly helping Italy," said Czech Prime Minister B. Sobotka on Twitter. According to Czech Prime Minister, the Czech Republic has become the largest contributor to Libyan Navy Coast Guard.
