The delegation met with their counterparts in both chambers of the Romanian Parliament, headed by the Vice-President of the Senate, Mihai Cotet, the Chairm

an of the Senate Committee on the Environment, Glad Varga, and the Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies Committee on the Environment, Adrian Giurgiu; deputy representing the Czech minority, Ștefan Bouda was also present.

Meetings with the Minister of Development, Public Works and Administration, Attila Cseke, and the State Secretary of the Ministry of Environment, Waters and Forests, Raul Pop, were also very useful.

As part of the working visit, the delegation traveled to the counties of Brașov and Buzău. In Brașov, the Czech delegation discussed the committee’s agenda with the county council president, Adrian Veștea, and his deputy, Adrian Iatan. In Buzău, the delegation held talks with the county council president, Marcel Ciolacu, MP Romeo-Daniel Lungu, and the Director General of the National Forest Administration (Romsilva), Jean Vișan.

During the trip, the senators also learned about the management of Bucegi Natural Park and the UNESCO Geopark Ținutul Buzăului.
