On 29 November we organised a concert by Ensemble Moscheles on the occasion of the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The concert took place in the premises of the Embassy in Bucharest with a large participation of the public and the diplomatic corps.
Two days earlier, the Ensemble had been present at the reception on the occasion of the Czech National Day, where it gave an excellent rendition of the Czech and Romanian national anthems and two Moravian songs by the Czech composer Bohuslav Martinů.
The event commemorated important Czech composers and musicians. The concert included pieces by Jan Křtitel Vanhal, Antonín Dvořák, Bedřich Smetana, Bohuslav Martinu and František Domažlicky.
Performers: Angelika Pavlechová (mezzo-soprano), Tomáš Tuláček (violin) and Henrik Szocs (piano)
