Ambassador Halka Kaiserová attended the BSDA 24 conference and visited the stands of Czech companies at the largest defence industry fair in Romania

Ambassador Halka Kaiserová attended the conference "The Black Sea Region and Romania 20 years after NATO accession", organised by the Ministry of National Defence on the occasion of the opening of the largest defence industry fair in Romania, which is held every two years. She also visited the stands of Czech companies presenting their products and met with representatives of Česká zbrojovka, Honeywell Aerospace Technologies, Era a.s., Glomex and Vzduchotechnik.

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Romania's accession to NATO, the 9th BSDA (Black Sea Defence and Aerospace Exhibition) opened with a conference dedicated to current and future security challenges in the Black Sea region and the development of the defence and arms industry after the establishment of NATO. The main theme was the impact of the conflict between Ukraine and Russia on the relationship between the security environment and the arms industry. The international conference was attended by Ministers, Chiefs of Staff from the Black Sea region, representatives of defence structures, the arms industry, representatives of the European Commission and members of the diplomatic corps of NATO member states.  

The main themes of this year's event, which took place from 22 to 24 May in Bucharest, were land, maritime and air defence, as well as national security and cyber and space defence.
