Statement of the Czech MFA on the Assassination of Russian Ambassador to Turkey

Ministry of Foreign affairs condemns in the strongest terms the brutal attack on the ambassador in Turkey. We convey the condolences to the family of Ambassador Andrei Karlov, his loved ones and to other victims who were injured in shooting.

This crime is both a grave violation of the inviolability of diplomatic representatives and an assault on the rules of international law that enable the relations among States and the fulfilment of the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations.
