Celebration of the Day of the Establishment of Independent Czechoslovakia

On the occasion of the national celebration of the Day of the Establishment of Independent Czechoslovakia on October 28, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Belgium held a reception at the Prague House in Brussels. The event attracted great interest and was well attended by guests from foreign delegations, Belgian institutions, the expatriate community, and Czech and Belgian partners.
In his speech, Ambassador Jakub Skalník recalled the historical significance of the establishment of independent Czechoslovakia and the development of Czech statehood. He also emphasized that relations between the Czech Republic and Belgium are perhaps the best they have ever been.
The ambassador was joined in welcoming guests by H.E. Vladimír Bartl, Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the EU, and H.E. David Konecký, Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to NATO. The reception took place in a friendly atmosphere, providing an opportunity to meet, share, and celebrate Czech statehood and the mutual ties between our countries.
