The Ambassador of the Czech Republic Pavel Klucký visited the city of Antwerp and its port on April 24, 2019.
In the port of Antwerp, he discussed with the port ambassador Marc Van Peel possibilities of deepening cooperation with the Czech Republic. The port covers the area of 120 km2 and it has a direct railway connection with Ústí nad Labem since 2016. This helps the Czech companies to diversify their exports. Besides that, the port area hosts Europe's largest petrochemical complex.
In the evening, Ambassador Pavel Klucký, accompanied by the Honorary Consul General of the Czech Republic, Paul Van denbempt, attended the spring reception for the Antwerp Consular Corps organized by the Mayor of Antwerp Bart de Wever.
