The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Bern has the pleasure to inform you that the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University in Brno offers the English-taught Master's degree programme "Specialist for Clinical Embryology & Assisted Reproduction Technology".
This programme is one of only a few worldwide that is fully dedicated to the field of clinical embryology and provides specialized training in IVF laboratories, preparing graduates for a wide range of career opportunities in assisted reproduction clinics, biotechnology companies, and research institutions.
Key advantages of the programme:
A rare specialization: One of very few university programmes worldwide dedicated entirely to clinical embryology and IVF laboratory training, an area where most professionals elsewhere only learn on the job.
Extensive practical training: Students train in a dedicated teaching lab equipped like a modern IVF clinic, so they graduate with real professional skills.
Strong career prospects: Graduates are well positioned for roles in fertility clinics, genetics labs, and the fast-growing biotech sector.
A proven track record: The programme builds on an established Czech-language version, whose first graduates (2025) are already working successfully in the field.
A path to further study: It includes an original Master’s thesis and offers a good foundation for doctoral research and academic careers.
Further information about this new Master's degree programme is available in the attached document.
