Studying at the Faculty of Medicine at Ostrava University

The Faculty of Medicine at Ostrava University offers the possibility to study the Master's program in General Medicine in English.
It is an accredited six-year study program, that is, 12 semesters. The MUDr. degree obtained by completing the program is recognized throughout the European Union and the United Kingdom.
The advantage of this program is high-quality, very individual contact teaching in both pre-clinical and clinical subjects, using the modern comprehensive SIMLEK simulation center.
A strong focus is placed on the practical part of the teaching and the development of the practical skills of future graduates.
Classes take place on the campus of the Faculty of Medicine at Ostrava University and in the University Hospital Ostrava (FNO).
Excellent students are supported with scholarships, and there is also the possibility for students to get involved in scientific research activities. Students are allowed to complete internships at other universities abroad during their studies, through ERASMUS and ERASMUS+ programs. The faculty also supports humanitarian work, especially in African countries, and allows students to get actively involved in these initiatives.
Students with Czech citizenship living abroad can also join the program.
