Two years of negotiation bring the success – the direct flight Prague-Beijing has been launched

On July, 9, during the press conference at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Beijing spoke Ambassador of the Czech Republic to China about the significance of the launching the direct flight betwenn the capitals of both countries Prague – Beijing. Vice Chairman of Hainan Airlines Aviation Group introduced the technical parameters of the direct flight which will start its operation on September, 23 this Year. The representative of the CzechTourism then described the Czech Republic as the touristic destination.
The project of the direct flight between the capitals of both countries is the result of the intense effort of both sides to create the new possibilities for even more effective cooperation, direct contacts between the representatives of business and economic sphere as well as for basic getting know each other.
The idea was discussed in detail during the visit of the Czech president M. Zeman to China in autumn 2014. This idea was also one of the main topics of the meeting between the Czech Prime Minister B. Sobotka and his Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang in Belgrade. The meetings between the Czech Aeroholding and Hainan Airlines have been finalized by the signature in June 2015 of an agreement. This agreement was signed also because of the enormous help of the Czech diplomacy together with the Czech-China chamber of mutual cooperation.
This direct flight will create from September 2015 the opportunity for enhance of mutual exchange, not only in the touristic area.
The operation of the direct will start on September 23 and the regular flights will be three times a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday). For the direct flight will be used the aircraft type Boeing (B767) with the capacity of 233 economy seats and 34 business seats.
