
CZECH INDUSTRY AT AIRSHOW CHINA 2014 IN ZHUHAI

A powerful Czech aircraft industry will officially be introduced at Airshow China 2014 next week, the 10th China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition. There will be 7 Czech companies at the national stand organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, the Czech Trade Promotion Agency/CzechTrade and the Light Aircraft Association of the Czech Republic (LAA ČR), presenting a wide range of innovative solutions and products based on tradition and high quality, including the “A-Z solution” for Chinese General Aviation that has been also greatly supported by the project of economic diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic in 2014, run by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Beijing. Among others, Airshow China 2014 exhibitors include Aircraft Industries, a.s., EVEKTOR Aerotechnik, F-AIR, JIHLAVAN Airplanes, s.r.o., KOVOSVIT MAS, TL-Ultralight and UNIS.
The Czech Republic considers the People`s Republic of China as one of the most dynamic and reliable business partners with long-term growth opportunities, including in aviation. In 2013, Czech exports to the People`s Republic of China were almost USD 1,5 billion, which is more than double of exports volume in 2009.

Established in 1990, the Light Aircraft Association of the Czech Republic (LAA ČR) is an association of pilots, builders, designers, manufacturers and operators of light aircraft with MTOM up to 450 kg including ELSA aircraft with MTOM up to 600 kg. LAA ČR is the competent authority for certification, licensing and operation of microlights in the Czech Republic. This covers paragliding, powered paragliding, hang gliding, gyroplanes, helicopters, weight shift, UL gliders, aerodynamically controlled microlight and 600kg amateur build ELSA. LAA ČR has 6 400 members and registers 7 900 aircraft and 10 000 pilots.
LAA ČR participates actively in promoting “A-Z solution” in China.
CzechTrade is a trade promotion organization, founded by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic. Тhe main goal was to develop international trade and cooperation between Czech, foreign companies and other entities. CzechTrade offers free and confidential services aimed at helping foreign companies find qualified Czech - based suppliers. The agency’s support is recognized as an efficient way of building business relationships. CzechTrade operates worldwide via foreign representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic. They can assist in researching purchasing opportunities, identifying business partners and liaising with Czech suppliers of goods and services.

Aircraft Industries, a.s. is the largest Czech civil aircraft manufacturer building on more than 70-year aviation tradition of LET Kunovice company. Present core business is serial production and sales of the L 410 UVP–E20 aircraft - twin turboprop commuter of which over 1200 units have already been produced and operated in more than 50 countries all over the world.
EVEKTOR Aerotechnik belongs among the leading development and manufacturing companies active in the aircraft industry in the Czech Republic. Besides aviation, Evektor has extensive development activities in automotive and mechanical engineering industry.
The F-AIR company was founded in 1990. With over 11.000 hours flown annually, F-AIR is currently one of the biggest flight schools in Europe. The school operates with 30 aircraft fleet owns a new generation flight simulator FNPT II from Mechtronix Systems Inc.
The JIHLAVAN airplanes, s.r.o. specializes in design, manufacturing, sales and maintenance of all–metal and carbon-composite light aircraft (Ultralight/Microlight/LSA category) under trademark "SKYLEADER" for more than 17 years. Aircraft portfolio consisting of 6 types is designated for recreational flying, pilot training and special operations.
KOVOSVIT MAS is the Czech Republic´s largest machine tools producer oriented for R&D, production and sale of CNC machine tools suitable as for conventional technologies (turning and millling) as for special multitasking and 5-axis technologies (MCU and MULTICUT line). The machine tools are sold under MAS brand. During last 10 years KOVOSVIT MAS introduced new special machines ready for high productive machining of hard materials (e.g. titan and titanium allows). For aircraft and space industry offers the latest hi-tech technologies, e.g. cryogenic machining.
The TL Ultralight aircraft company was established more than 20 years ago in 1989. The first product with an engine was a TL 32 Typhoon. The company currently ranks among the biggest producers of UL and LSA aircraft. The production programme consists of TL-3000 Sirius and TL-2000 Sting S4.
UNIS is a company with a strong position in domestic and foreign markets in the fields of capital equipment for Power generation and the Petrochemical and Chemical industries. The Division of Aerospace and Advanced Control focuses on development and production of high quality and state-of-the-art products for critical control applications. The division focuses on development and production in the areas of aviation technology (avionics, ECU/FADEC), power electronics, small energy sources (cogeneration), micro-turbine control, critical control systems, robotics, automation and embedded systems.
