The Czech Embassy in Beijing held an cultural event on the occasion of 55 years of establishment of Sino Czech Slovak Friendship Farm in Cangzhou.
The celebrations of the anniversary included an official opening of the exhibition in the National Center of Performing Arts in Beijing entitled “The Little Mole and His Friends”. It is this wonderful coincidence that the Little Mole is celebrating his 55th birthday this year as well.
Ambassador Secka prepared a short speech to welcome the guests. The mutual and long-lasting friendship between the Farm and the Czech Republic was confirmed during the celebration by the act of symbolic planting of three trees of friendship. President of the Farm Mr. Lv Zhenhua was also awarded the medal of Jan Masaryk, a diploma, and a glass lion statue made by the Czech company Preciosa. The unique atmosphere of the event was well supported by the musical and dance performance of Czech folkloric ensemble Oldšava.
