Long-Term Visa/Residence Permit - appointment booking system

Applications for Long-Term Visas and Long-Term Residence Permits are accepted by appointment only. The Embassy offers 12 slots per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Out of them 18 are monthly designated for employee card applicants.

Slots for long-term visas, residence permits and employee cards within the economic migration programs can be requested via email at bangkok.visa@mzv.gov.cz 

!! Emails sent to other Embassy´s email boxes will not be taken into account and the appointments will not be given!!

Slot request requirements:

  1. email subject must contain name, surname and date of birth of the applicant
  2. attachments:
    1. scan copy of applicant´s passport data page
    2. scan of a document providing a purpose of stay in the Czech Republic in the .pdf format (e.g. blue card - complete and signed employment contract, study purpose - acceptance letter of the university, family reunification - marriage certificate, birth certificate)
    3. Appointment Reservation Form

No slot will be provided without the above mentioned attachments.

It is possible to ask for one slot for one applicant only!

Parents applying together with minor applicants can ask for a slot in the same email.

A preferred date of slot can be mentioned in the Reservation Form. Nevertheless, if the date is already fully booked, the applicant will be given a slot after the requested date.

An assigned slot for submission of the employee card outside the economic migration program cannot be changed. 

The above mentioned arrangement applies to citizens of Thailand, Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia.

Citizens of other countries are eligible only if they prove that they have been permitted to stay legally and continuously in Thailand, Myanmar, Laos or Cambodia for at least two years. In that case they have to attach a scan copy of the relevant residence-permit(s) to their slot reservation email. Exceptions to this rule can be consulted on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.

All documents must be submitted in their originals, supporting documents sent via email or data box will not be accepted!

 

Travel medical insurance

Foreign nationals entering the Czech Republic for more than 90 days shall conclude travel medical insurance in the scope of comprehensive healthcare (komplexní zdravotní péče) within 90 days from entry to the territory of the Czech Republic.

The travel medical insurance in the scope of comprehensive healthcare with the limit of coverage being EUR 400 000 may be taken out with any insurance company authorised to provide its services in the Czech Republic.

Proof of travel medical insurance is not required from a foreign national who contributes to public health insurance system (e.g. if it concerns a stay for the purpose of employment, the document on medical travel insurance is only required for the period of entry until the beginning of employment).

Obligatory adaptation-integration courses

Every foreign national who is issued a long-term residence permit for the territory of the Czech Republic is obliged to take the adaptation and integration course within one year of the date of collecting their residence permit.
