The President of the Senate welcomed Mr. Pavel Pitel, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Thailand, and Mr. Pavlo Orel, Charge d'Affaires. Embassy of Ukraine in Thailand on the occasion of a courtesy visit to the President of the Senate on August 21, 2023.
Professor Pornpetch Wichitcholchai attended the meeting with members of the Senate: General Lertrat Rattanavanich, Chairman of the Committee on Local Government, Admiral Ittikhom Phamornsuta, Vice Chairman of the Committee Tourism Lieutenant General Jaresak Arnupap Vice Chairman of the Commission on Transport and Mrs. Chaweerat Kasetsunthorn, Vice Chairman of the Commission on Religion, Morality, Ethics, Arts and Culture.
The President of the Senate mentioned that the close relationship between Thailand and the Czech Republic has been going on for more than 88 years in trade, investment, education, science, innovation, tourism. and international cooperation in the field of legislative cooperation. Parliamentary relations should also be promoted, including exchange visits of parliamentary leaders, parliamentary friendship groups to share experiences and good practices in legislative work together for cooperation between Thailand, Czechia and Ukraine.
Ambassador of the Czech Republic Pavel Pitel and Pavlo Orel Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of Thailand handed over the invitation to Parliamentary Summit of the International Crime Platform that will be hosted in Prague on October 24.
