Priority Sectors

Project proposals should contribute to sustainable development and address local needs, particularly in the following areas:

· Environment and climate adaptation

· Sustainable agriculture and rural development

· Water management and sanitation

· Inclusive education and capacity building

· Health and social services

· Support for vulnerable and disadvantaged groups

· Good governance and community development

· Gender equality and women's empowerment

 

Eligible Applicants

Eligible applicants are legally registered local entities operating in Thailand or Laos, including:

· Non-governmental non-profit organizations (NGOs)

· Educational and research institutions

· Community-based organizations

· Social enterprises and other non-profit entities with legal personality

 

Project Duration

Projects are expected to be implemented between March and October 2027, depending on the date of approval and contract signature. All project activities must be completed no later than 31 October 2027.

 

Financial Conditions

The financial contribution provided by the Czech Republic for an individual project shall range from CZK 250,000 to CZK 500,000, including any currency fluctuation reserve (4% of the approved budget) determined during the approval process.

 

Administrative and support costs must not exceed 8% of the total budget financed by the Czech Republic. Such costs may include project management, financial administration, bank charges, communication, reporting and other support activities directly related to project implementation.

 

Exchange Rates

Applicants must use the following exchange rates when completing the Small-Scale Project Identification Form:

· 1 CZK = 1.595863 THB

· 1 CZK = 0.047975 CZK

These exchange rates have been already entered into the Identification Form (see the enclosure) and will be used for all budget calculations. The above exchange rates are provided solely for the preparation of project proposals. The final amount of the financial contribution will be calculated using the exchange rates announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and applicable at the time of project approval.

 

Application Procedure

Applicants are required to submit:

· A completed Small-Scale Project Identification Form, including all required contact details;

· For non-governmental entities, a copy of the document certifying the applicant's legal status, in accordance with the applicant's legal form;

· For non-governmental entities, a document certifying that the applicant's representative is authorized to act on behalf of the entity in the country of project implementation.

The Small-Scale Project Identification Form is available as an annex to this Call for Proposals on the Embassy's website. The Embassy reserves the right to request additional information, clarifications, or supporting documents from applicants if deemed necessary for the assessment of project proposals.

 

Submission Deadlines

Electronic Submission Deadline: 20 October 2026

Evaluation and Approval

Project proposals will be evaluated by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Bangkok and submitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic for final approval. Only shortlisted applicants may be contacted during the evaluation process.

Indicative Timeline

· 20 October 2026 – Deadline for electronic submission

· January-February 2027 – Evaluation and approval process

· March-October 2027 – Project implementation

· 31 October 2027 – Project completion
