Thai-Czech Startup Forum and Czech Pavilion at Techsauce Global Summit 2024 in Bangkok

7 innovative Czech companies visited Bangkok for Thai-Czech Startup Forum and Techsauce Global Summit 2024. 

The year 2024 marks the 50th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Thailand and the Czech Republic. As part of the celebrations, both Thai and Czech side presented their commitment to strengthen further mutual collaboration, this time in innovation and technology. 

The Thai-Czech Startup Forum was held in KX Knowledge Exchange Centre on 6 August 2024 and covered topics as: Czech Republic and the Roll as a Gateway for Startups, Thai Startup Ecosystem, the Hub to SE-ASIA, The Future of Venture Capital and Startup Investment in Thailand, Panel Discussion: Bridging Czech & Thai Innovation Ecosystems and Startup Pitching & Sharing.

Later on all 7 Czech startups participated at Techsauce Global Summit7 - 9 August 2024 in Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (OSNCC).

BatteryCheck - BatteryCheck helps operate batteries safely and predictably by offering a predictive battery analytics service. This service provides real-time insights into battery health and predicts potential battery issues before they occur, preventing failures.

Big Terra - Big Terra provides the Carbognostic service, a platform for monitoring regenerative agriculture and carbon farming worldwide. It supplies complex location based climate and crop data to support sustainable agriculture practices.

ECOTEN Urban Comfort - Specializing in urban environmental science and engineering, ECOTEN provides technical services to city planners and urban development stakeholders. They use earth observation and urban microclimate simulation technology to help cities develop resilience to extreme heat through a nature-based urban design approach.

MilkyWay be well - Introducing MyWay analytix®, a groundbreaking eHealth tool for mental health screening and intervention. Using 14 Mental Health Indicators™, it identifies risks and provides immediate, personalized video feedback and interventions, enhancing care with advanced behavioral analysis and predictive modeling. 

Qeedio - Qeedio enables IT teams to monitor and analyze the operation and performance of IT systems in real-time, identifying potential issues and predicting future risks without being overwhelmed by unnecessary notifications. 

Stratosyst - Stratosyst is a Czech company developing High Altitude Pseudo-Satellites (HAPS). As a HAPS operator, Stratosyst provides services in earth observation, navigation, telecommunication, testing, and defense. 

Windees - Windees develops innovative wind turbines designed for energy independence and sustainability. Our turbines start generating power from very low wind speeds (2 m/s), making them ideal for continuous operation regardless of time or season. Windees turbines efficiently convert even compressed wind hitting the roof, enhancing overall performance. This technology integrates seamlessly with existing solar panel systems, boosting energy production and contributing significantly to reducing carbon footprints.

Czech startups presented their innovative projects to the world and received 2 awards. ECOTEN Urban Comfort won 2nd place in the iFLYTEK Startup Competition for its analysis of urban overheating and proposals for climate risk solutions. Big Terra received the Techsauce Innovation Awards for its contribution to sustainable agriculture. These achievements confirm that Czech startups are among the world's best and have the potential to make a positive impact on the world.

Simultaneously Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted meeting with Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade to discuss further cooperation and timeline for the 3rd meeting of Joint Commision on Economic Cooperation (JEC).

The event was organized together by Royal Thai Embassy in Prague and Embassy of the Czech Republic in Bangkok with support from Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade and CzechInvest.
