The ceremonial event was attended by representatives of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Baku and invited guests. The microbrewery was jointly presented by the restaurant representative and Pavel Hapl, Managing Director of M.B.S. Mini Brewery System s.r.o., the Czech company that designed, manufactured, and supplied the complete brewing technology.  

For the project, M.B.S. also supplied Czech malt and hops. At the time of the opening, the restaurant offered two beers from its own production: an infusion-brewed German-style lager using German Hallertauer hops and a decoction-brewed Czech-style lager. The brewery’s planned production capacity is approximately 2,000 hectoliters per year. The project therefore combines Czech brewing technology and raw materials with a local hospitality business.  

The implementation of the project in Baku is being followed by another contract awarded to M.B.S. by the company Helenendorf in the city of Göygöl. The delivery of the technology is scheduled for completion by the end of 2026, with the brewery expected to commence operations in January or February 2027.  

Although the Azerbaijani beer market has long been dominated by the Carlsberg Group through its local production facilities, interest in Czech beer in the country continues to grow. Czech beer is still widely perceived by Azerbaijani consumers as a symbol of quality, traditional craftsmanship, and authentic brewing culture. An increasing number of restaurants and hospitality establishments are adding Czech beers to their portfolios, both as imported products and, more recently, through local production using Czech technology and ingredients. Demand is rising particularly among customers seeking premium products and new taste experiences. As a result, Czech brewing know-how continues to enjoy an excellent reputation in Azerbaijan, and Czech beer maintains a strong and respected position in the market.
