Czech Embassy in Baku organized a meeting with Azerbaijani graduates of Czech universities. The friendly meeting took place at the Embassy on May 27, 2024.
The meeting of graduates of Czech "alma mater" with representatives of the Embassy took place for the first time after a multi-year break. It was also an opportunity for an exchange of views and discussion among the alumni themselves and for reminiscing about their student years.
Czechia greatly appreciates the foreign students who have chosen Czech universities for their education. We believe that they have received and will continue to receive high quality education, which they will fully benefit from when they return to their homeland. Eight Czech schools are in the top 1 000 best universities in the world according to the so-called Shanghai ranking, and Brno's Masaryk University, for example, is improving its position in the ranking (https://www.vysokeskoly.cz) .
In 2023 alone, 190 Azerbaijani self-paying students went to the Czech Republic. The most frequently visited schools include Masaryk University, the Prague University of Economics and Business, the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague, Charles University and the Czech Technical University in Prague.
