Representatives of Czech universities and the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Baku took part in the Study in Europe 2026 education fair on October 10 and 11, 2026. Representatives of four Czech Universities introduced Azerbaijani students to study opportunities in the Czech Republic and also met with representatives of partner universities to discuss further academic cooperation.
On October 10 and 11, 2026, Czech universities, together with the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Baku, participated in the Study in Europe 2026 education fair organized by the Delegation of the European Union to Azerbaijan at the Hilton Baku. The event showcased a wide range of study opportunities offered by European universities and attracted a large number of prospective students interested in pursuing higher education abroad.
The Czech Republic was represented by the Institute for Language and Preparatory Studies of Charles University, Masaryk University, VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava, and Mendel University in Brno. Visitors to their stands received information on study programmes, admission procedures, scholarships, and student life in the Czech Republic.
The stands of the Czech higher education institutions were visited not only by Azerbaijani students and their parents, but also by representatives of partner universities, including Baku Slavic University and Baku State University. The fair thus provided an excellent opportunity not only to promote Czech higher education but also to further develop academic cooperation between Czech and Azerbaijani educational institutions.
The growing interest of Azerbaijani students in studying in the Czech Republic reflects the high quality of Czech higher education and the strengthening educational ties between the Czech Republic and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
