Czech Universities at the International Education Fair in Baku

On October 12, 2024, Charles University and Masaryk University participated in the International Education Fair in Baku. Representatives of both Czech universities were received by Ambassador Sedláček, who also visited the fair. At the fair, Ms. Šedivcová, representative of the Institute of Language and Preparatory Studies at the Charles University, which is dedicated to the support and preparation of foreign students in the Czech Republic, gave a lecture on the possibilities of studying in Czechia. The interest of students from Azerbaijan in studying Bachelor's and Master's programmes in English at schools in the Czech Republic has been growing year by year. Foreign students welcome the Czech Republic as a very good destination for obtaining a quality education.

Charles University and Masaryk University represented the Czech Republic at the “Be(g)in Group” International Education Fair, which took place at the Hayatt Regency Hotel in Baku on October 12, 2024.

The representatives of both universities were received by Ambassador Mr. Milan Sedláček. Also consultations on the issues of student visas, the possibilities of promoting studies in the Czech Republic and the possibilities of teaching Czech in Azerbaijan, were held at the Embassy.

Ms. Šedivcová from the Institute of Language and Preparatory Studies at Charles University gave an interesting lecture on the study opportunities in the Czech Republic within a lecture block. In addition to a summary of the reasons why to study in the Czech Republic and a brief overview of Czech universities and the admission process, her lecture included a small personal audit, thanks to which students could choose the most suitable form of starting their studies in Czechia. Thus, they could choose directly bachelor or master programmes or preparatory programmes designed to help them with their language and academic preparation and with their cultural and social adaptation.

Azerbaijani universities were represented by the prestigious ADA University, where several Czech students study every year within the ERASMUS+ programme. Schools from Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, France, Italy, Switzerland, Great Britain, Germany, Slovakia, Poland, Finland and Latvia were also represented. From non-European countries we can mention e.g. United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, USA and others.
