On April 27, a meeting in a restricted format between the two leaders took place, followed by a bilateral meeting of the delegations, after which a joint press statement by I. Aliyev and A. The visit had a strong strategic economic and trade dimension; the delegation included the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, Karel Havlíček. The Prime Minister was accompanied by 50 Czech entrepreneurs representing leading Czech companies from the fields of energy, transport industry, defense industry, and other sectors of the Czech economy. A strategic discussion was held on the possibilities of supplying natural gas also to the Czech Republic. Both leaders and their delegations also focused on the potential for mutual cooperation in diversifying Azerbaijan’s industry and in investment cooperation.

A number of political agenda issues were also discussed. A. Babiš highly appreciated the ongoing peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
