Head of the Mission Spouses Discussed Charity Projects

Under the auspices of Spouse of Czech Ambassador Monika Pivoňková, the conference of the organization Head of the Mission Spouses focused on charity projects, was organized in Baku on 9 February 2015.

This event is organized twice per year and HOMS invites private and non-profit organizations operating in Azerbaijan. Representatives of these organizations present their projects and the most interesting of them are supported by HOMS.

HOMS invited this time Ms. Valida Abbas a founder of Mushvig Day Care Centre for Children with Disabilities. This organization is the only centre which is open for children every day.

HOMS has regularly supported children from Mushvig taking part in week-summer-camp. HOMS will continue in this activity in 2015 as well. 

Ms. Gwen Burchell presented activities of United Aid for Azerbaijan. UAFA „combines the fields of practice, research and advocacy in order to support development for children and their families.“ Based on recommendation of UAFA experts HOMS has directly supported concrete families.

Representatives of ADA University presented charity projects prepared by students of ADA University. Ways of potential collaboration will be discussed at following HOMS meetings.
