Czech Embassy in Baku Hosted Its Third Gathering of Alumni of Czech Universities

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Baku hosted a gathering of Azerbaijani graduates of Czech universities. The friendly and warm atmosphere of the event reaffirmed the enduring interest in the Czech Republic and highlighted the importance of the alumni community as one of the bridges connecting our two countries.

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Baku organized the third gathering of Azerbaijani graduates of Czech universities. Building on the success of previous meetings, the event provided an opportunity for informal dialogue between alumni and representatives of the Embassy, as well as for the exchange of professional and personal experiences. In a warm and friendly atmosphere, participants reminisced about their years of study in the Czech Republic and discussed opportunities for further strengthening friendly relations between the Czech Republic and Azerbaijan.

Graduates of Czech universities represent an important bridge between the Czech Republic and Azerbaijan. Through their personal experience of studying, living, and engaging with Czech culture, they contribute to greater mutual understanding and to the development of long-term relations between the two countries in the academic, economic, and social spheres.

We highly value international students who choose the Czech Republic for their education. We are convinced that the knowledge and experience gained at Czech universities constitute a valuable asset not only for their personal and professional development, but also for fostering cooperation between our two countries.

In 2025, approximately 380 new Azerbaijani students began their studies in the Czech Republic, financing their education from their own resources. The most popular institutions among Azerbaijani students include Masaryk University in Brno, the Prague University of Economics and Business, the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague, Charles University, the Czech Technical University in Prague, Mendel University in Brno, and VSB – Technical University of Ostrava. The growing interest of Azerbaijani students in studying in the Czech Republic reflects both the attractiveness of the Czech higher education system and the strengthening educational ties between the two countries.

The meeting held on October 6, 2026 once again confirmed the good ties with the community of Czech university alumni in Azerbaijan.
