This year, the Czech Republic is commemorating the 30^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with Azerbaijan. Czech beer, which has become a very popular and sought-after drink among local consumers in recent years, is an essential part of all events organized by the Embassy. Its growing popularity is also influenced by the expanding import of its non-alcoholic variants.

Due to the growing popularity of the golden drink, the Czech Embassy in Baku, together with the exclusive importer of Czech beer to Azerbaijan, Mr. Rashid Huseynov, founder of the Azerish LTD and Ilcin LTD companies, decided to organize the Czech Beer Day in Baku on May 19, 2023. This unique event celebrated not only excellent Czech beer, but also friendship and tight cooperation between Czech and Azerbaijani partners.

During the event, the guests could try beer of two famous Czech brands, namely Budějovický Budvar and Pražačka. For the special atmosphere, the chef of the Yaban Bulvar restaurant, together with the Embassy staff, prepared traditional dishes, including goulash with bread dumpling and Honza buns. The Czech music played during whole event and other Czech brands active on the Azerbaijani market were presented.

Summer season at the Yaban Bulvar restaurant starting with this exceptional event was opened with speeches of the Ambassador of the Czech Republic, Mr. Milan Sedlacek, together with Mr. Rashid Husejnov. They highlighted the close cooperation and expressed their hopes that Czech beer will be available in more places in Baku on tap.
